It was a joyous and memorable moment as Young Wives of the Diocese of Ogbaru amidst torrents of observers gathered at Basilica of St. James The Great Cathedral, Atani for the 2022 Young Wives Nkwa Music Competition. This is an event that is initiated to promote the praise of God in a unique and dynamic way among women which posits, assures and sustains God’s help and victory over life situations just as recorded in the time of King David in the Bible.

Recall that this event calls together women, within and outside the Diocese, to rejoice and praise God with one accord prior the celebration of Mothering Sunday (Women’s Day) under the auspices Women’s Minstry of Diocese led by Mama Ogbaru, Mrs Uche Amah, the Bishop’s Wife and President; Women’s Ministry, Ladies and Girls’ Guild.

Moreso, the event had in attendance over 20 different Unique Nkwa Groups. There were specific renditions and presentations by these groups with their diverse touch of uniqueness. The event was graced with the presence of the Bishop, Anglican Diocese of Ogbaru, the Rt. Rev’d Prosper A. Amah with other dignitaries within and outside the Diocese.

Trophies and Cash Gifts were awarded to groups that performed exceptionally.

Meanwhile, all women were encouraged to maintain the life of purity, unity of mind and spirit in worship and commitment to God even as they remain a strong force of influence for the growth of the church, panacea for peace decline in homes and beacon of light in the society.

To God Be The Glory.
